Coloured engraved plate depicting designs for a 'green house' and 'hot house'. Includes two sections, an elevation, plan and a scale bar to the bottom. Described in the book as being 'A Green-house and a Hot-house build in HER MAJESTY'S garden, at Frogmore, Berkshire. The hot-house is for the purpose of forcing flowers; and a partition of glass divides it from the green-house'. Queen Charlotte of Mecklenburg-Strelitz was Queen of Great Britain and Ireland from her marriage to King George III in 1761 until her death in 1818 and spent much of her time on the Frogmore estate. The book plate bears the imprints 'Section of Green House', 'Section of Hot House', 'Elevation', 'Plan' and 'London, Published Septr.1.1806, by J.Taylor, 59, High Holborn'.
