Coloured engraved plate depicting designs for a 'green house' and 'hot house'. Includes a section of green house and hot house, elevation and plan with a scale bar to the bottom. Described in the book as being 'executed from the design of W. T. Aiton Esq' with the 'hot-house .... chiefly for forcing flowers'. As of 2023, Baylis House (Buckinghamshire) is in private ownership but the grounds are a public park owned by Slough Council. The book plate bears the imprints 'Section of Green House', 'Section of Hot House', 'Elevation', 'Plan' and 'London, Published Septr. 1st 1806, by J. Taylor. From the book 'Plans, elevations and sections, of hot-houses' by George Tod
