Colour printed engraved plate depicting two drunken radishes standing under a street sign with the inscription 'Rue de L'Egalite'. The artist uses anthropomorphism to depict the vegetables in a humorous style. The book plate bears the imprints 'Varin del. et sc.' and 'G de Gonet edit'. From the book 'L'empire des légumes' by Eugène Nus'. Inscription: '18' handwritten in pencil in the TR corner
