Enclosed is a letter from Gertrude Jekyll to Dorothy Nevill. Written from Munstead, Godalming. Manuscript
She thanks Nevill for remembering she wanted to meet Mr Maw; she is busy until 14 Dec, but any day between that and Christmas she will be free; the weather has been excellent for finishing the season’s planting; she is expecting a box of treasures from Malta and another from Algiers [Morocco]; she would like to consult Maw about a list of North African plants sent to her by a resident botanist, as he is familiar with North African flora. Dated Tuesday [Dec 1880; 1880 added in a different hand; the subject matter matches letters written in Dec 1880]. 3 page letter (1 sheet)
