Written from 45 Charles Street, Berkeley Square [London]. Manuscript
She thinks Maw must have forgotten her, as it has been so long since they met; much sorrow has befallen her, as she has left Dangstein, but she has got a smaller place near Heathfield [Stillyans, rented from Robert Hogg, botanist]; the new railroad to Eastbourne will come close by; she has a large conservatory, and a garden for alpines and herbaceous plants; she would be grateful if Maw could spare her a few plants; she wants brightness and sweetness in her garden; she hopes she will have something to give in return; she would like Maw to see a room she has done up in George II style. Dated 16 Dec, no year [1879 added in a different hand; Dangstein was sold in 1879]
