Written from 45 Charles Street [Berkeley Square, London]. Manuscript
She was reminded of Maw by a ‘charming’ visit to Kew yesterday, where she saw the monuments of Sir William and Lady Hooker and admired Maw’s plaques; she asks if he stocks such plaques or if they were custom made; she wishes she were travelling Maw’s way as she would love to see his place; they are visiting Lord Bradford [Orlando Bridgeman, 3rd Earl of Bradford] at Castle Bromwich near Birmingham next week; she fears it is not near enough to Maw to visit; Mr Nevill [Reginald Henry Nevill, her husband] is much better and they hope to be at Dangstein by the end of the month; she asks if he is travelling their way; their rockery is doing well. Dated 9 Aug [1876 added in a different hand]
