They hope to go to Dangstein for good around 15 Aug; she hopes Maw will visit; they went there yesterday and found it in good condition considering the drought; Maw’s plants are doing well; she was sent a charming flower of Oenothera last night; the thymes are delicious; they have been successful in growing the Nertera, which is a mass of blossoming pink coral; they now have plenty of ‘oyster’ plants [a name used for various species] for Maw to come and fetch; she asks if Maw has a Picardia plant as mentioned in ‘The Garden’, as it would be useful for indoor decoration; she asks Maw to write to 45 Charles Street until the 12th. Dated 20th [?20 Jul 1874; the subject matter matches letters written in summer 1874]
