He cannot leave Kew until the 8th, when they go to Gloucestershire; he does not know how long they will be at Wotton-under-Edge, but he will go from there to Maw’s, probably around the middle of the month; he expects to take the 12.55 train from Gloucester; he asks if Mrs Maw [Frederica Mary Maw] would let him bring his daughter [Harriet Hooker, illustrator] for the night, as he expects to have to take her home with him, since Mrs Hooker is visiting in another direction; he will write when he knows the day
