He thanks Maw for the Iris, which he has sent to be drawn; Boissier [Pierre Edmond Boissier] was here the other day and told him how to cultivate the Saxifraga; G.P. Hunot [George Pierre Hunot, British vice consul at Safi, Morocco] is with him and sends his regards; he asks Maw never to pack live plants in cotton wool, as it absorbs moisture faster than anything; he suggests some better packing materials
