Her husband has been in Palestine; he was well during the first part of the trip and enjoyed it greatly, but returned very ill; he collected a few crocuses for Maw but lost the book they were pressed in; the enclosed were in one of his guide books, but are in a bad state and she fears they will be no use, though her husband asked her to send them anyway; he will send an acorn from the Quercus or Terebinth [Pistacia palaestina] trees if Maw likes; she hopes that the Maw family are all well
