Coloured postcard showing a view of Eaton Hall seen from the lake with a broad walk leading to the house. Eaton Hall, built by Alfred Waterhouse for the Duke of Westminster c.1870, was the third house on the site; Nesfield had already designed parterres for the second house. The gardens were redesigned by Detmar Blow. Iin 1963 the main house was demolished and replaced by a much smaller modernist building by John Dennys.
