Warrington Town Hall was originally built as a private house in 1750, by James Gibbs. It was presented to Warrington as a town hall in 1870, and the grounds were re-landscaped as Bank Park. The gates had been exhibited at the second Great Exhibition in 1862, and were erected in position in 1895.
