Coloured postcard showing a view of the lake and trees in Victoria Park, Paignton. Paignton, originally a fishing village, but after the opening of the railway in 1859 it became a tourist destination and expanded until in 1998 it was included with Torquay in the borough of Torbay. Victoria Park was presumably laid out in the 1880s, in the same decade as Victoria Street, for the Golden Jubilee
