Coloured photographic postcard showing a view of the great globe in Durlston Park, Swanage. The Durlston Park estate in Swanage was laid out for the developer George Burt in the 1860s-80s; most of the land was acquired by the local authority in 1921 for use as a public park. The great globe was designed by the stonemason John Mowlem in 1887-91
