Uncoloured postcard showing a view of the lake in Peasholm Park, Scarborough. Ink: [personal message] [address in Plymouth supplied]. Peasholm Park, Scarborough, was originally part of the grounds of Northstead Manor; the site was acquired by the Corporation in 1911, and the borough engineer, Harry W. Smith, laid it out as a Japanese garden; it was enlarged over the next couple of decades by further purchases of land
