Vivary Park, Taunton, was originally the estate of William Kinglake (the father of A.W. Kinglake), and was used for local events while still privately owned. In 1894 it was sold to the local authority for use as a municipal park. The QUeen Victoria Memorial Fountain was erected in 1907
