Coloured photographic postcard showing a view of a woodland walk in Castle Eden Dene, Peterlee. Ink: [personal message] [address in Bedfordshire (i.e. Luton) supplied]. Peterlee was a new town, founded in 1948; it was planned by Berthold Lubetkin, until he was replaced by George Grenfell Baines, who brought in Victor Pasmore to help with the landscaping. Dene Park appears to be an alternative name for the nature reserve Castle Eden Dene, administered currently by Natural England
