Pearson Park, Hull, is named after Zachary Pearson, the mayor of Hull, who donated the land for a park in 1860; the park was designed by James Craig Niven, and included statues of Victoria and Albert by Thomas Earle, a monolith and plaque in memory of Pearson (1897), and a bandstand (1908)
