Uncoloured photographic postcard showing a view of a floral crown in Sefton Park, Liverpool. Pencil: [personal message] [address in Rugby supplied]. Sefton Park, Liverpool, was designed by Edouard Andre, with the assistance of the architect Lewis Hornblower; it was opened in 1872. The great conservatory or palm house was built by Mackenzie & Moncur in 1896; the iron bridge was constructed in 1873; the Shaftesbury Memorial Fountain (a replica of Alfred Gilbert's statue in Piccadilly Circus) was erected in 1932
