He thanks Robinson for ‘The English Flower Garden’, which Robinson should be proud of; he likes the introduction of flowering shrubs and trees, and the beauty and execution of the illustrations; he was delighted the other evening to meet at Sir Henry Thompson’s one who had made his garden such a pleasure to him; he would like Robinson to visit him as there are many places nearby that would interest him, though he would be worried as to what Robinson would think of his untidy borders
