Uncoloured photographic postcard of the flower garden in Waterloo Square, Bognor Regis. Bognor developed as a seaside resort during the 19th century, and in 1929 it was renamed Bognor Regis to indicate the royal seal of approval. Waterloo Square was a building project of the 1820s; during the early 20th century, the gardens within the square were developed as bowling greens with floral borders
