He thanks Robinson for sending him a copy of his ‘English Flower Garden’ which he is surprised to see expanded as he thought it incapable of further improvement; he and his wife would like to visit Gravetye when Robinson will be there; his own garden is greatly improved since Robinson saw it years ago; the tea roses are both delicate-looking and hardy, and currently look lush and lavish; next year he would like to give Robinson a copy of a new prose book
