Uncoloured postcard of the rock garden in the Birmingham Botanical Gardens. The Birmingham Botanical Gardens were designed by J. C. Loudon between 1829 and 1832. Loudon also designed a glasshouse for the garden, which was replaced in the 1850s by the first of four glasshouses (tropical, subtropical (formerly palm), Mediterranean, and arid houses)
