Blue-tinted postcard of a view across the river of the bandstand in the River Gardens, Belper. Ink: [personal message] [address in Oakham supplied]. The River Gardens, Belper, were commissioned by George Herbert Strutt, on the site of a former salley garden, and opened in 1906; in 1918 he gave the gardens to the English Sewing Company, and in 1964 they gave them to the town
