It is impossible to think of ‘The Garden’ without Robinson as its director; for those who realise what Robinson has done for gardening in Britain, the paper will have lost its mastermind; in the old days he would have felt lost without Robinson’s guidance, and he is sorry for would-be gardeners of the future; he hopes they are not all going to lose sight of Robinson, and invites him to lunch at his city club
