She asks how Robinson is; at Christmas it is kinder not to add to friends’ burden of writing; living in a simple way uses her energies now; she has a smaller establishment but she is comfortable and well looked after; she asks if Robinson is swept into the agricultural movement; he must laugh at many of the proposals; she believes her daughter has handed over her garden to a Miss Elsa Moore and that there are very few pupils as they won’t pay, now they cannot get so well paid; her daughter herself does some paid work for the government; she thinks her daughter should be a VAD [Voluntary Aid Detachment nurse]
