Printed nursery catalogue of 110 pages, outlining various plants for sale in 1913-1914. Acknowledgment of how Yokohama is now ‘undoubtedly the largest exporting house of this line in this country.’ Lilies have a featured page and there is a black and white photographs of the nursery’s grounds.
The main contents are Yokohama’s stock for sale including lily-bulbs, dwarfed trees, fern balls and designs, Cycas Revoluta, Rhapis Palms, Chrysanthemums, Bamboos, Peonies, Iris. Also has terms of business, shipping times from Japan as well as the names and routes of the steamers.
Black and white printed illustrations littered throughout; some full-sized pages, others interspersed with the text. Two full colour inserts, Paeonia and porcelain flower pots. Front and back cover are illustrated in colour featuring selection of flowers (palmata, uniflora, pusilla) and Macrophylla and Pteridophyllum on the back.
Tip ins: Letter dated Feb 14.13 to Mr Nicholson from Lisa E. Bulwer from Copper’s Cross, Uckfield, Sussex asking for orders of the plants listed in this catalogue.
