He has received the latest edition of ‘The English Flower Garden’ which Robinson sent; he has had several editions over the years which he and his head gardeners have often referred to, and this must be a frequent experience; he only went to Gravetye once, when Robinson was away, and now Robinson has invited him again he would like to come in spring; he enjoys topiary work and box-hedged parterres, but Robinson taught him many more engaging forms of horticulture.
