He apologises for inviting Robinson so often and suggests he come on Saturday until Monday, mentioning nightingales and thrushes, and sedums ‘too lovely for mere mortals after the copious rains’; they will have only close friends; the rock and stump plants are superb; he longs to hear about ‘friend Maw’ [George Maw] and his saxifrages
