Printed nursery catalogue of 94 pages, outlining various plants for sale in 1905. Acknowledgment of how Yokohama is now ‘undoubtedly the largest exporting house of this line in this country.’ Novelties and Rare Plants have their own featured page, highlighting Wisteria, Camellia, Magnolia and Aruncus.
The main contents are Yokohama’s stock for sale including lily-bulbs, dwarfed trees, fern balls and designs, Cycas Revoluta, Rhapis Palms, Chrysanthemums, Bamboos, Peonies, Iris. Also has terms of business, shipping times from Japan as well as the names and routes of the steamers.
Black and white printed illustrations littered throughout; some full-sized pages, others interspersed with the text. Eleven full colour inserts, Alpine Plants of Japan, Paeonia, Iris Kaempferi, Camellia, Cypripedium, Acer, Prunus, Spiraea, various perennial plants, fern designs, porcelain flower pots. Front and back cover are illustrated in colour featuring Wistaria and Magnolia Salicifolia on the back.
