The two boxes of seeds and plants collected by Mr T. Hartweg [Theodor Hartweg] in Mexico forwarded by Messrs Munoz Matfield & Co some time ago arrived safely; Hartweg has since remained primarily in the north of Mexico, and his packages have been sent to Tampico [Mexico], where they have been detained; Hartweg is not in Mechoacan [Michoacan de Ocampo, Mexico], and his future packages will probably be sent to Vera Cruz [Veracruz, Mexico], and he is requesting their assistance in dispatching the packages; the commanders of HM packets [ships] have Admiralty orders to receive them on board, but they can be dispatched on any convenient ship, and reimbursements made by Messrs Byrns, Hooton & Co [merchants in Mexico] in Mexico [Mexico City, Mexico]; their agents at Falmouth to be informed regarding the shipments are Messrs Broad & Co [William Broad & Sons, merchants in Falmouth]
