Unmounted medium format colour slide of diplomat and plantsman Sir David Scott (1887-1986) (centre) with Lady Caroline Gilmour (nee Montagu-Douglas-Scott) (1927-2004) (far left) and Elizabeth Percy, Duchess of Northumberland (born Lady Elizabeth Diana Montagu Douglas Scott) (1922-2012). David Scott's pug is also with them in the garden of the Dower House (Boughton House). Ink inscription on sleeve on recto: 'Duchess of Northumberland, her sister, Lady Caroline Gilmour'; '434'. Address supplied. Full names: Sir David John Montagu Douglas Scott; Lady Caroline Margaret Gilmour; Elizabeth Diana Percy, Duchess of Northumberland. Caroline and Elizabeth are sisters and they were a distant relation of David Scott. Their great-great grandfather, Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleuch, 7th Duke of Queensberry (1806-1884) was also David Scott's grandfather. This dog is likely Kate, the last pug David owned
