The Madonna of the Yarnwinder is a subject depicted in one or two paintings by Leonardo da Vinci from around 1500. The subject is known today from several versions, two of which are called the Buccleuch Madonna and the Lansdowne Madonna; they are thought to be at least partly by Leonardo's hand. The Buccleuch Madonna entered the Buccleuch collection in 1767 but was stolen from Drumlanrig Castle in 2003. It was recovered in 2007 and in 2009 it entered the Scottish National Gallery where it is currently on display [updated 2022]
