Unmounted medium format colour slide of the Richard Scott, Earl of Dalkeith (b.1954) with his wife, Elizabeth Scott, Countess of Dalkeith (born Lady Kerr) (b.1954) in the garden at the Dower House (Boughton House). Ink inscription on sleeve on recto: '364'; '1840'. Pencil on recto: 'Earl & Countess of Dalkeith, the earl gt gt grandson of Duke of Buccleuch RHS president'. Address supplied. Full names: Richard Walter John Montagu Douglas Scott, Earl of Dalkeith, he was later the 10th Duke of Buccleuch and 12th Duke of Queensberry. Richard was the great great great grandson of former RHS President Walter Francis Montagu Douglas Scott, 5th Duke of Buccleuch (1806-1884). Elizabeth Marion Frances Montagu Douglas Scott, Countess of Dalkeith, she was later the Duchess of Buccleuch and Queensberry. Valerie Finnis married David Scott in 1970 and moved into his home, the Dower House, part of Boughton House and one of the seats of the Duke of Buccleuch. Finnis lived at the Dower House after Sir David's death in 1986 until her own death in 2006
