Signoret'; the signature of Victor Antoine Signoret. Victor Antoine Signoret (1816-1889) was a French pharmacologist, physician and entomologist. Pharmacology made him wealthy, and he was able to fund expeditions collecting insects in Europe and western Asia. He is considered to be one of the first great students of Coccoidea (mealybugs and scale insects), and amassed a collection that is now in the Vienna natural history museum.
