III 1C'. Printed inscription on verso, 'Hennah & Kent 108, Kings Road Brighton'.. Sigismund Rucker (1810-1875), was a magistrate and colonial broker who lived at West Hill, Wandsworth. He built up a large collection of orchids, drawing on the nurseries including Loddiges and Veitch. He exhibited regularly at the Horticultural Society's shows at Chiswick, and was a member of the RHS Council several times between 1844 and 1870.
