As he was leaving London he had a request from the Lord Chamberlain’s office to attend the memorial service for the Duke of Argyll; it is his duty to attend so he will not be able to go to Gravetye tomorrow, which he regrets; Messel [Ludwig Messel, founder of the garden at Nymans] tells him Robinson is well and found plenty to interest him here; there are many uncommon things here and he has enjoyed his afternoon among them, and is only sorry they did not manage to be there on the same day
