Written from 54 Bedford Gardens, Kensington, [London] W. Manuscript
He thanks Robinson for the cheque for the watercolours; he apologises for forgetting to have the frame touched up; Robinson is wise to have his portrait done by Fantin; it is a fine portrait by him at the Academy; Robinson should ask him for a price first; Bonnat would charge a higher price; there are fine landscapes by Corot and a painting by Daubigny in the Luxembourg; they are busy preparing for the Institute ball and he will be glad when it is over
Dated 19 May, no year [c.1893; by Mar 1894 Carolus-Duran had completed Robinson’s portrait]
