Black and white engraved plate depicting Harewood House in Yorkshire, with cows in the foreground alongside figures working in the grounds. The house can be seen in the background. The gardens were landscaped by Lancelot 'Capability' Brown. The book plate bears the imprints 'Published as the Act directs, April 1st. 1779, by W.Watts, Kemp's Row, Chelsea', 'M.A. Rooker pinxt' and 'W.Watts sculpt'. From the book 'The seats of the nobility and gentry' by William Watts. Inscription: '11' handwritten in pencil in the TR corner
