Black and white engraved plate depicting Castle Hill in Devon. The house was built in 1730 by Hugh Fortescue, 14th Baron Clinton. Following a fire in 1934, the house was substantially reconstructed. The house can be seen in the background of the engraving, with grazing sheep and cattle in the foreground. Two figures talk in the foreground, one on horseback. The book plate bears the imprints 'Publish'd as the Act directs Sep. 1st. 1785, by W.Watts, Chelsea', 'Feary, del' and 'W. Watts, sculp.'.
