Black and white engraved plate depicting Hill Hall in Essex, with a woman, child and dog by the lake next to the Hall. Figures can be seen strolling by the front of the house and a gardener stands to the bottom right of the engraving. Now owned by English Heritage and divided into apartments, the house contains some of the earliest classical decoration on any surviving building in Britain. The book plate bears the imprints 'Published as the Act directs, May 1st. 1780, by W.Watts, Kemp's Row, Chelsea', 'T. Sandby delt.' and 'W.Watts sculpt'.
