The Portsmouth Field was planted with cherry trees from 1947. Ron Bolton was Battleston Hill Foreman at RHS Garden Wisley from 1947-1953. Pencil inscription on verso, 'Env. 105, 1, P. Portsmouth Field'. Pen inscription on verso, 'Ron Bolton with raincoat and trilby hat'. The Portsmouth Field was planted with cherry trees from 1947. Ron Bolton was Battleston Hill Foreman at RHS Garden Wisley from 1947-1953
