Unmounted medium format colour slide of diplomat and plantsman Sir David Scott (1887-1986) with his pug. Scott is in the doorway of the Dower House (Boughton House) looking down at a small display of flowers. His pug Kate can be seen on the right. Ink inscription on sleeve on recto: 'Sir David Scott at the Dower House + pug Kate!'; '578'. Ink on recto crossed out: '568'. Address supplied. Full name: Sir David John Montagu Douglas Scott. Valerie Finnis married David Scott in 1970 and moved into his home, the Dower House, part of Boughton House and one of the seats of the Duke of Buccleuch. Finnis lived at the Dower House after Sir David's death in 1986 until her own death in 2006
