Unmounted medium format colour slide of diplomat and plantsman Sir David Scott (1887-1986) (right) with lilies and bulb expert Oliver Wyatt (1898-1973) admiring a small alpine bed at the Dower House (Boughton House). Ink inscription on sleeve on recto: 'Oliver Wyatt'; 'David Scott on right & Mr Wyatt on left'; '407'. Address supplied. Full names: Sir David John Montagu Douglas Scott; Oliver Evelyn Penfold Wyatt. Valerie Finnis married David Scott in 1970 and moved into his home, the Dower House, part of Boughton House and one of the seats of the Duke of Buccleuch. Finnis lived at the Dower House after Sir David's death in 1986 until her own death in 2006
