Herbarium Specimens from RHS Plant Trials
Trials have been an important part of the RHS’s work since 1860.
The Herbarium at RHS Garden Wisley currently contains over 8,000 specimens collected from different trials, and this number is growing all the time. The oldest trial specimen in our collection is a Salix acutifolia 'Pendulifolia' dating back to 1966!
